Emma Hagenström

Emma Hagenström is a swedish violist. She plays a Yann Besson viola made in 2007.

Emma Hagenström was born in Sweden in 1977.

She started her studies in Oslo at the Barratt Due Music Institut.

She continued studying the viola at the Edsberg Music Institut in Stockholm with Björn Sjögren and at the Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg with Wolfram Christ.

During these years she played in the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Emma Hagenström was a member of the Gustav Mahler Jugend Orchester and the European Union Youth Orchestra.

Since 2002 she has the position of sub principal viola in the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra.
