Stéphanie Cuq is a french violist. She plays a viola made by Yann Besson in 2005.
Stéphanie Cuq was born in 1973.
After studying the viola in Montauban, she entered the Bordeaux Conservatoire National where in 1995 she received a Gold medal. She was given the Prix de Perfectionnement of Bordeaux for viola and chamber music in 1997.
Having obtained her State diploma in 1997 she started to work as a viola teacher for the Saintes Conservatoire de Musique et de Danse in Charente Maritime.
Over the past decade, she has also worked regularly with the Orchestre des symphonistes d’Aquitaine, the Poliphonia Eliane Lavail ensemble, the Orchestre de Chambre de Gironde, the Rocca-Fortis ensemble and other chamber music formation such as sonatas, trio, and quartet.
